No "Clones" or "Knock Offs"
These quality component golf club heads from Tom Wishon Golf Technology, Alpha Golf, Maltby and Infiniti Golf are produced at the same foundries from the same quality materials which are used by the major golf club companies such as Taylor Made, Titleist, Nike and Callaway. The only difference are the design concepts.
Unfortunately, too many other component companies specialize in copying popular designs using low quality foundries which aren't skilled enough to attract business from the serious minded segment of the golf industry. These foundries often use low quality scrap metal with numerous imperfections in their manufacturing process as well as an unskilled labor force. The result is a product far outside the quality, weight, loft and lie tolerances demanded by the major golf club companies and the quality component companies. The direct result is a low quality, inferior "clone" or "knock off" of a major popular design with very little cost involved. These components are cheap and abundant and are promoted and used by many custom clubmakers because of the potential for very high profit margins at the expense of both a quality product and the consumer. In my opinion, any clubmaker who would offer these inferior products is more concerned with the "profit margin" than the best interest of a client.
